As 2010 draws to an end, we would like to thank everyone that came out to help with the parades. We truly are grateful for all your hard work. This was our second year of being more active in the tri- city area parades than our club has been in many years. So, for the first time in a long time, San Juan Shrine Club has an official Parade Committee again! And I must add, WE HAVE A BLAST! All those wonderful smiling faces along the parade route, and people that shout out, "THANK YOU!" because they have a child in their family who was helped by the Shriners, should give all shriners a deep satisfaction in knowing that there are many people who appriciate what this organization does for children.
This year started out a little bit rough, due to some misunderstandings, but we did some soul searching, some recalculating, a bit of readjusting, asked God for his wisdom, and got our act together. We did not let anything, "Rain on our parade"! I hope we set a good example for others to follow. after all, if the children in the shrine hospitals can keep a smile on their face while going down that bumpy road to a better physical existence, then we all certainly ought to be able to put on a few decent parades to get the Shriners name out in the public eye!
We are the San Juan Shrine club of Farmington, New Mexico and we are proud to be doing our part, helping as many children as possible.
